Bedes Galactic challenge

Today fourteen Brambletye pupils have entered the Bedes Galactic Challenge. They have joined other schools to make five teams or companies each made up of pupils from four schools. Each company needs to vote in a company president and heads for different departments; Structural, Human Resources, Automation, Operations & Infrastructure and Schedule & Costs. Brambletye has students in three of the five teams and has had two pupils voted president and two head of departments.

Extracting DNA

Today Y7 extracted DNA from strawberries and bananas. 

6G spring into action

Post exams we have been looking at forces on springs. Lots of accurate measurements and making sure our investigation is a fair test. 

Roedean Science Challenge

Today ten Brambletye girls went to Roedean to take part in their Science Challenge. 

First a look at time in Physics

Then to Chemistry to analyse some chemicals

Finally Biology where the girls found out which snacks had the most energy

We were well looked after by Roedean and their Science staff were very complimentary about the girls’ ability in the lab.
