Today the Year 4 pupils visited the Science Lab to begin the task of logging project 'Isidore', the name given to the blind test to plant rocket seeds from Space alongside those kept on Earth (more at https://schoolgardening.rhs.org.uk/news/News-results/National/2015/May/rocket-science).
The project name 'Isidore' has been taken from the Patron Saint of farmers and school children, an ideal fit for this test in conjunction with the Royal Horticultural Society. Every week the Year 4 children will visit the lab and record the experiment in pictures that will be shared with you on this blog. The experience has also started a discussion as to which seeds may be most successful in the long run and what we can expect in the weeks to come.
Year 4 children and the planted seeds, which have already germinated.
The children were asked to observe the seeds that have germinated thus far and try to predict which seeds they believe have been into Space.
Food for thought, which of these do you think are the seeds that have been into Space?
