On Tuesday Y5 used quadrats to count daisies along different random lines (called transects) across the golf course.
They calculated the average number of daisies per square metre. The area of the golf course was found by taking its dimensions using a trundle wheel. Multiply the two and you get an estimation of the number of daisies on the golf course.
