Year 7 have started the year learning about elements and the periodic table. Today they are finding out what the differences are between metals and non-metals through a number of tests.
What do they look like? Do they bend?
Are they a solid, liquid or gas at room temperature?
Are they magnetic?
Do they conduct electricity?
We then analysed our results to find the different properties of metals and non-metals.
