First select your spring toy
Then weigh it and prime the toy. The spring now has lots of elastic potential energy.
You will need to record its flight using the slopro app on the ipad so its maximum height can be accurately measured.
You need to be quick as some jump up immediately.
The movie can be reviewed to take the measurement.
Repeating the test for each toy improves reliability.
